Flight Catcher

Passthrough AR shows nearby aircraft where they are in the real sky, using live ADS-B data and your GPS position.

Calibrating direction

Easiest by day: face the sun, then tap Align to Sun in the AR panel — north is computed from sun position and GPS.
Or face true north, then tap Set as North.
On iPhone Phone Sky, north is set automatically from the compass (corrected to true north for your location).
If planes look consistently rotated, tap minus 5° or plus 5° to fine-tune north.
Set as North also recenters the Airspace panel in front of you.

Plane labels

Tap a plane for callsign, type, distance, speed, altitude, bearing, and ADS-B freshness.
On iPhone, a tapped plane flies into view and stays; drag to move it, tap it (or empty sky) to send it back.
For a full-screen Phone Sky on iPhone, use Safari's Share, then Add to Home Screen, and launch from the icon — Safari does not allow web pages to enter fullscreen directly.

Controls (AR)

Ray + reticle — from your active hand or controller
Pinch / trigger — press a panel button or tap a plane
Pinch / trigger hold — grab a plane to inspect it; release to return it
AR panel — compact panel centered in front of you at ~1 m, slightly below eye line and angled toward you; pinch + hold the top bar to place it in the room. It keeps facing you after release. Pinch empty sky to show it again after hiding.
−5° / +5° — fine-tune north from the Airspace panel

What you see

Up to 25 closest aircraft within the query radius stay visible in the sky. Markers do not hide when you turn your head — only distance, altitude, and live ADS-B updates change what appears.
